Safety on Course

Coming into the warmer weather it is a good time to remind members that you should carry plenty of water when out on course to avoid dehydration, apply sunscreen and wear appropriate sun protection. Our heat policy states, once the temperature reaches 38 degrees Celsius the competition of the day is cancelled and if temperatures reach 40 degrees the course will be closed.

In the event of an emergency please call 000, and then call the Pro Shop to notify staff of the incident as they will be able to direct the ambulance on to the course.

In the event that the Pro Shop phone is engaged we have now put in place a mobile phone to be used in emergencies. We recommend all members save this number in your phone as an emergency contact.

Pro Shop – 9580 1008

Emergency Mobile – 0422 866 355

Our staff at Rossdale are regularly trained in first aid and many hold a level 2 certification and are well trained to use the Clubs defibrillator if need be.

Odyssey Putter Fittings coming to Rossdale!

Have you ever wondered why the “professionals” putt so well? Would you expect they picked up a putter in a shop and purchased it because it looked nice or felt good?

I hope majority answered “no” to this question. Professionals and any good putter would be specifically fitted for their putter. The aim in a putter fitting is to fit a putter to your stroke type, not the other way around.

If this sounds great to you, and you want to improve your putting. Book in a fitting at Rossdale Golf Club in the second week of February with Michael, Ben and Elissa to get a “FREE” fitting.

This is a rare opportunity so get in quick!
