Tip from the Pro

Weekly tip provided by Elissa Lal.

Bunker Shots

When playing bunker shots, stability in your lower half is key. if you are trying to rotate and power through like a normal golf shot, this maybe causing you a bit of trouble.

What to try next out on the range. (For our right-handed golfers, opposite for left handers)

70% of your weight into your left foot

Centre of your sternum (buttons on your shirt) should be feeling on top of the ball.

Swing should be shoulder height to shoulder height maintaining the weight into your left side.

What goes wrong: The moment you laterally move away from the ball the more you will see inconsistency with your bunker shots.
