Twilight Competition

Twilight competition returned last week with almost 50 members teeing it up. We are looking forward to seeing this grow in the coming weeks as the prizes get bigger and bigger!

Notable scores last week were Michael Eddington and Bryan Timewell whose 21-point scorecards won them an Adidas Polo and Callaway Tour Towel respectively.

Twilight is back again tonight and into the entire daylight savings season, so we look forward to seeing you all down at the club on a Thursday or Friday night.

Just a reminder the member with the best 10 rounds over the twilight period will win themselves $500 on to their house account.

Junior Pennant

JUNIOR PENNANT IS BACK FOR ROSSDALE.

Hi, on November 8 we welcomed Junior Pennant back. Due to COVID all our Pennant teams have been in hiatus, so it was a proud moment today to set our juniors off to lead the 2020-2021 pennant season.

There is no usual Match play this year, so all our Juniors are playing singles Stableford, at home, with the best 6 scores going to the VGA for Pennant leadership

This Sunday we saw 9 young ladies and Gentlemen tee off for Rossdale.  It was a bit of a rush and I would be remiss in not thanking Mike, Ben and Pete for their help prior and on the day. Cheers fellas.

Anyway, we had a few regulars and some new faces. 9 young members teed off for us this morning, they are: Toby Hynes, Connor Oldham Matilda Dunn the experienced players and welcome to Rossdale Pennant; Toby Coleridge, Jack Illot, Flynn Curry, Justin Davies, Mia Spence and Zane Wilson. Both Mia and Zane were playing their first ever 18 holes of golf today.

There was a bit of rust but I am pleased to say that there was much fun had on a sunny day and some good scores recorded. Even with the top 6, all players played some great golf and if I may, our season looks to have had a good start.

Our top 6 scores this week are:

Toby Coleridge- 38 (and leading the overall comp at writing)

Toby Hynes-37

Flynn Curry-37

Matilda Dunn-36

Jack Illott-32

Mia Spence-31

Thanks everyone, particularly Fred Ford, who has given his time as a caddy in previous years and arrived without prompting this morning, Cheryl Disher whose aid to the junior ladies is always welcome and all the staff at the club who were so helpful at short notice this morning.

A good start and I can only thank all and hope our juniors continue to enjoy their journey in golf at Rossdale.

Cheers, the manager.
