Gerry’s Wheel is on Friday nights
Gerry’s Wheel is back after a brief respite, with the prize money up to an exciting $450! Tickets are available to purchase on the evening- you have to be in it to win it!
The members draw is also happening tonight so make sure that you are here to see it being drawn.

Food and Wine night back!
Rossdale Golf Club is excited to announce the Food and Wine night, which was cancelled back in April due to COVID, has been rescheduled for Friday 15th January 2021! We are looking forward to being able to bring this event to you now.
Each course will be pared with a complementing wine and the event will be hosted by our knowledgeable staff.
This exclusive event is limited to 60 guests and open to both members and non-members. This event is for over 18 years only.
Tickets are $79 per person and there are about 40 spots left. Call 9580 1008 to book your table now.
Twilight Competition
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN $500?
Twilight has been back now for 2 weeks; we have seen some good scores with 20 to 21 points winning the comp on the night!
Just a reminder the member with the best 10 rounds over the twilight period will win themselves $500 on to their house account.
Rossdale Ladies Garden Party
Hello ladies and welcome back to club golf. It is so wonderful to see the many new and old faces gradually making their way back to the course and clubrooms.
Because we have missed so many social functions this year the ladies committee have decided on a big soiree to try to make up for some lost party time. So, with much fanfare the ladies are pleased to announce that a garden party will be held on the Rossdale grounds (rotunda) on Monday 14th December.
The theme “dress to impress” will incorporate our trophy presentations, the ladies’ luncheon and Xmas breakup all in one big bash. There will be no spin table or K.K. this year, but our fundraising for the Salvation Army will go ahead.
We hope that a major raffle for some fundraising, along with some party games will make for a great gathering for past, present and future ladies.
Stay tuned as more details will be revealed leading up to the 14th of December.
For those new members the Salvation Army gift donations can be passed on to a committee member or left in the baskets provided in the ladies’ locker room. Gifts can include food, toys, pamper products or books. Please note- no second-hand goods.
Christmas Parma Night!
Book in now for one of the biggest nights of the year- the Christmas Parma night on the 17th of December.
Book for either a 5.30pm or 7.30pm sitting. Santa will be making an appearance at 6pm with some treats for the kids.
Junior Pennant

Hi all and what a difference a week makes. Unfortunately, our great scores last week were too little effect as Golf Victoria informed us that our round 1 was a bye. Still, a great effort.
This week was again a mad rush. From our starting 9 from week 1 we had 3 unavailable due to travel (where’s lockdown when you need it) and 1 due to exams. Fortunately, due to the negotiating skills of Ben, we managed to scratch up a 6 to compete. Special thanks to Brady Pollard who consented to have his score included for the team.
So, the team went out and, again, played in a spirit which is a credit to Rossdale and though it was a tough and windy day some good scores were returned. These are as follows:

Members Christmas
Christmas is coming and we are READY!
Our members buffet on the 18th of December promises to be the event of the year and not just because COVID-19 stopped us from having events.

VW Scramble is Back!!
If you have never played the VW Scramble before you have been missing out.
The winners of the Rossdale event go through to the regional qualifying and then the top 2 teams from the regional fly up to Queensland to play in the National Championship.
The Entry fee is $40 per player or $120 per team of 4.
Every player receives a welcome pack which includes 6 golf balls each on the day.
We have 2 scrambles running:
Mixed event – Saturday 12th of December
Ladies only – Wednesday 16th of December
Start getting your team together as Entries will be open in the next couple of weeks!
Ladies 2 Ball Ambrose 25th November
The draw has been created for the 2 ball Ambrose this Wednesday. You are now able to access to see what time you are playing.
We ask that if you are unable to play or would like a game please contact the Pro Shop and they will make the changes.
Course Works
This week the trees got root pruned. Over the years as the trees grow upwards their roots grow outwards sucking moisture out of the fairway. The root pruning machine drives along the edge of the fairway and cuts down to 25cm and cuts all roots in its way.
Volunteers
This week we had the help of 5 volunteers who helped replaced turf in front of the 11th tee and roll out some turf on the new nursery behind the long range.
If you would like to help out on course, please let the Pro Shop team know and they will pass on your details.
Men’s Foursomes
Entries are now open online for the Men’s Foursome Championship. The Championship is played over 36 holes on Saturday the 5th of December and is open to everyone with a handicap of 12 or below. The competition of the day for all other members will be a foursome competition.
Coffee Club with Elissa!
Elissa is back doing her now famous ‘Coffee Club’ clinics. Members can receive a 45-minute lesson for just $20, plus a free cup of coffee at the end with Elissa!
Bookings are now open for the first 2 clinics on the 23rd and 30th of November. There are very limited spots available, so we recommend getting in quick!

Thick Rough
With plenty of rain and sun of late it has become important to remember how to play the short chip from long rough around the greens.
By now members should be getting use to using the MiScore app if you are having any issues please contact the Pro Shop. Below is a step by step process on how to download.
1. Open the MiScore app- Select the MiScore app icon to open the app and wait for the new update to download and install.
If this is your first time using MiScore, you will need to download it from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Search “MiScore” to download the MiScore digital scoring app.
2. Create app profile- To help MiScore identify you as a user, you will need to create an app profile containing an email address and password.
Select “Create Profile” on the blue button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Accept terms and conditions- Review the MiScore app License Agreement and Privacy Policy. Click “I Agree” to accept and continue.
4. Create a profile-
An app profile can be created using any of the following login methods:
– Apple
When creating an account with email, you will be sent a verification notification to your nominated email address to complete the signup
5. You’re all set!- Once you have successfully created your MiScore profile, you will be able to proceed with competition or social scoring.
