Changes to Clubhouse, March 25th

25th March 2020 - Board Communication, Latest News

Dear Members,

At this point in time Rossdale is still able to open its gates and welcome members to play golf. However, both Golf Australia and Community Clubs Victoria have indicated that this can only be done under strict circumstances. In order to meet the outlined requirements, the following changes will be implemented as of today, Wednesday March 25th.

–         Timesheets will only be a “one tee” start off the 1st hole. This week’s timesheets have been amended. All members please be aware of the new starting times. The administration has done their best to notify those inconvenienced with the changes.

–        All club compeitions will cease

–         Competition golf will cease. However, members are welcome to play socially. Cards can be collected from the front of the Pro Shop.

–         Pro Shop services will be limited. However, service will be conducted from the door between 7am and 4pm each day. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

–         The Pro Shop car park will be closed. All members will be required to enter the golf club from the Sixth Avenue entrance.

–         The sixth avenue gates will be closed each day at 5pm. Members should be aware that the gates are automatic. Members that remain inside after this time will still be able to exit.

–         The locker rooms are now closed. They will reopen on both Thursday and Saturday between 7am and 12pm so that members can collect their belongings. They will then remain closed until normal trading hours have been reinstated. Use of the toilets and showers are strictly off limits.

–         Only one member per cart including personal carts. A discounted member rate will be implemented.

–         Outdoor toilets will still be accessible and have been changed to a unisex bathroom. Please knock on the door before walking in.

–         Furniture from the members decking area will be relocated to outdoors and the deck area will not be accessible. Members are requested to not move the furniture from its locations.

–         The members smoking area will remain but with limited seating. We ask members to not stand and congregate in this area.

The operational team understand that these measures may impact on some members enjoyment of the game and for that we are sincerely regretful.

Importantly, members should be aware that the state government has indicated that further restrictions are inevitable. However, our aim is to ensure that all members can have access to the golf course for as long as possible. Keeping people active, positive and connected is an important role that we believe we can facilitate during these uncertain times.

As more information comes to light. I will endeavour to keep you all posted.

Regards,

Andrew Noonan
