72 Holes in One Day
Raising Money for
Cancer Council

Andrew and I are taking on Cancer Council’s The Longest Day…

On Monday the 9th of December we will be taking on the ultimate golfing challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day. That’s 72 holes!

We will be testing our skill, strength and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.

Because Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70 and we want to help change this.

Please sponsor us today, to make every hole count!

Thank you for your generous donation. Together, let’s tee off for a cancer free future.

Any Members wanting to participate or require any more information please contact myself in the Proshop.

Junior Pennant
Round 2

G’day members.

Sunday 27th October saw our Junior Pennant season get started after a round 1 bye, and what a day it was. Under cloudy and threatening skies  our team got away to a great start, beating the local rivals- Patterson River- 3.5 – 2.5

Some excellent golf was played by all members of the team, even though Connor Oldham and Jorja Azzorpadi suffered unfortunate losses.

As for the rest, Luke Fitchett had a strong win [4/3] and Elijah Bulner, in his first pennant match produced a cracker to win [6/4].

Toby Hynes had ice water in his veins playing the last one down and he produced a great shot on 9, held his nerve and delivered a half.

This left one match on the course and the squad moved back to 8 to watch Billy Warrener coming home. A forlorn bunch of Patto players and caddies searching frantically around the water hazard was the sight that greeted us. Billy looked in a little bother but played a smart shot to the center of the fairway and then raced over to help his fellow competitor.

A shake of hands and a fist pump revealed that not one but two Patto balls had gone swimming and Billy had broken through for the first win for him and the sealer for the team. YOU BEAUTY.

Patterson River did get a consolation prize though with Charlie McInerney having a hole in one on the 3rd, we couldn’t be happier for him.

Congratulations and Thanks to all players ,squad members, caddies and the staff at Rossdale for your efforts. I encourage our members to support and encourage all our juniors, ask any of them for a game, you wont regret it.

Finally I urge you all to buy a medallion for the 200 club. All proceeds go to our junior development and they are more than worth a small outlay.

Cheers and till next time, Mick Oldham.
