Rossdale Golf Club has one of the largest Junior Golf Programs in Victoria with over 50 kids attending each term.

Our junior program runs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Friday’s and Saturday’s during the school terms.

On Saturday the 21st December we will be hosting our Christmas Breakup day where the kids will be graded on their progress, as well as just enjoying a fun day to celebrate the golfing year with their fellow juniors, friends and family.

The day is free for any junior that attended our junior clinics throughout the year.

PLEASE DONATE !

Firstly a big thank you to Laraine Cunningham, Karen Rahilly, Anne Stannard & Margaret Allnutt who have all donated to our Longest Day Challenge. We do have a goal to raise $1,000 and we have just over 3 weeks to reach our goal.

If you have a few dollars you would like to donate please click on the link below or you can donate to the Golf Shop directly.

The longest day challenge will now be held on Friday the 6th of December where Andrew and Michael will be taking on the ultimate golfing challenge to complete four rounds of golf in one day. That’s 72 holes!

We will be testing our skill, strength and stamina to raise funds for Cancer Council.

Because Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70 and we want to help change this.

Please sponsor us today, to make every hole count!

Thank you for your generous donation. Together, let’s tee off for a cancer free future.

Any Members wanting to participate or require any more information please contact myself in the Proshop.

Or email golf@rossdalegolf.com.au

Junior Pennant Team
Suffers 1st loss

Hi Members,

This week we travelled out to Settlers Run and we started most of our matches in a really solid fashion.

Unfortunately, as the matches progressed, it became apparent that we were up against an experienced and very steady team and the fact that most of the matches had to give significant shots to Settlers began to tell.

Most of our team made the turn with significant ground to make up and it is to the teams credit that they all fought it out for greatly reduced margins.

This didn’t change the result, with only Toby managing to finish with a half.  So it was a loss for us, 0.5 – 5.5

The group can really hold their heads up high for the fight they all put up and the way they all played the game in exactly the right spirit.  I thank them all.

Whilst I am thanking people, as always, I thank all the caddies and supporters, I keep saying this, but I could not do this without all of you. Special thanks to Gerard and Billy Warrener, and John Turner for coming all the way to Settlers to support the team.

A week off for the team this week, and then the grand finish against Sandhurst on the 24th. Please support this great group, and I will finish again by asking my fellow members to buy a medallion for the 200 club, all proceeds go to our junior program and they are worth every cent you can pass their way

Cheers, Mick Oldham
