Meet the Rossdale team!
In recent years we have worked hard to attract highly skilled people into all areas of the business to ensure that we are constantly increasing member services. Internally, we believe that it is the people in our club that give us a competitive advantage over all other clubs in the bayside area. As such, we are thrilled to have such a dynamic, professional and friendly group of individuals leading our operational departments. Since the beginning of 2016 we have happily welcomed over 200 new members to Rossdale Golf Club. Many of whom may not have yet been introduced to the department team leaders that work hard each week to make Rossdale a unique environment. Therefore, I’d like to take the time to introduce to you each of our professionals.
Last week we introduced Golf Operations Professional, Peter Manzie This week we are pleased to introduce Lucy Turner our Events Coordinator.
In the coming weeks we will introduce more of the great staff that make Rossdale an exciting golf club on the rise.

Events Coordinator – Lucy Turner
Lucy was born and raised in south east Melbourne by parents who believed that hard word was a necessity.
After being recognised for her exemplary organisational skills and attention to detail at school, Lucy began on the path of Events Management.
She took on full time study in a diploma of Events Management while working as a waitress at the Cardinia Park Hotel and festival planner for Papa Goose. MARCS festival in Melbourne was a massive learning curve for her but she ultimately decided to move away from the city and find a more diverse job.
After volunteering her time with many events throughout Melbourne, she found a home at the Rossdale Golf Club.
Lucy has thoroughly enjoyed moving her way through the club, many of you may have seen her in the bar through her earlier years and now in the office on corner desk with the fern. When she is not at work, Lucy is teaching dance or spending time with her two dogs.
Don’t be shy, pop past the office to see her and talk about your next special event!
Winter Cup Final 4th Time Lucky ?
The Winter Cup is proving difficult to crown a winner, after commencing the final on Saturday in atrocious conditions play was suspended as the course was deemed unplayable, after a short break and the prospect of the course drying out play resumed with the pairing of Vic Wotherspoon & Paul Warden winning the opening 4 holes, only for play to be suspended again after another deluge, the course was deemed unplayable for the remainder of the day and play was set to resume again on Sunday afternoon.
With a 4up advantage starting on the 5th Hole Sunday most would have thought it was a mere formality of who our winners would be at the end of the day, however there was one more twist when David Quinan and Trevor Prosser won the final hole to square the match, with darkness setting in both teams agreed to continuing the match the following Sunday where we hope we will eventually crown our Winter Cup Champions.

Corporate Cup 2019
Entries are now open for the 2019 Corporate Cup. This is best day of the year for golf , food and beverage.
Bookings will only be accepted with an upfront payment due to the high demand.
There will be a guest speaker for the night, and we promise it is an event not to be missed.

Golf Lesson Promotion
For the months of July & August our Teaching Professionals Michael Moore and Peter Manzie are offering a special offer where if you purchase (2) 30 minute golf lessons for $110 you will receive the 3rd lesson FREE OF CHARGE.
Peter is already making an impact with his Coaching,. Member ‘Patrick Raleigh’ had a lesson last Thursday afternoon and on Friday he had his best score for the year posting 40 points. Peter worked on Patrick’s weight transfer on his back swing allowing him to load more power onto his left leg (Patrick is left handed) this helped Patrick transfer more weight during the follow through and ultimately produced better contact and more power.

Junior Golf Lessons – Term 3 – Starts Wednesday
Starting on Wednesday the 17th of July, junior clinics will be held every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The cost for the 10 week term is $100 or $170 for 2 children from the same family!
Each week lessons will focus on a new aspect of the game with the goal to get the juniors out on course as soon as possible.
