End of year Twilight Competition

As Daylight savings comes to an end, so did our Twilight competition which finished last Thursday 28th March. To celebrate we had our end of year Twilight Dinner and the announcement of our Twilight comp winners! We would like to give a huge thank you to all our members who came down and participated in our Twilight competition held on Thursday and Friday evenings since October.

Along with our overall Twilight Competition we had our daily winner as well. Our winner of the day was Ben Gerovich with 23 points. Ben also won the NTP (3rd Hole) for the night, winning a $150 bar voucher.

For the overall Twilight Event, which took players’ best 12 scores from October to March, the winners were as follows:

1st – Paul Rowney – 245 points – $1000 Membership credit.

2nd – Luke Fitchett – 244 points – MotoCaddy Electric Buggy.

3rd – Wayne Kelly – 243 points – $500 Bar Voucher.

Congratulations to all our winners over the season. We hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to kicking it off again in October!

All the best Willow!

Dear Members,

It is with regret that I inform everyone that after 4 and a half years at Rossdale Golf Club, our Teaching Professional, David Williams is leaving us.

He has recently accepted a role at the Melbourne Golf Academy, to follow his passion for coaching full time, from the 1st May 2019.  David leaves with my blessing and I’m sure he will have great success as a Teaching Pro, we wish him well!

I have begun the process of finding a replacement PGA Professional to assume the coaching and shop hours that David leaves behind.

Our Junior Program, Private tuition and Ladies Classes will continue on, and I will be in contact with everyone involved in the coming weeks, to keep you all informed of when classes will recommence for Term 2.

If anyone has any outstanding lesson packages with Willow, they will need to be redeemed in full by Tuesday 23rd April.  Please contact the Pro Shop to arrange the lessons.

Kind regards,

Alan Patterson

From the Course

Hello golfers,

We were almost able to fill the dam on the 6th after the rain we received over the weekend.

This will prove very beneficial for the golf course and a huge boost to the spirits of the boys here on the groundstaff, as we move from survival mode into action mode.

This week we have fertilised all fairways and identified the weaker tees, namely 7,8,16,17.

These tees have gone through a full renovation process of hollow tyning, fertilising, seeding and a heavy topdress, all other tees will be aerated and fertilised.
