Dear Members,
At the last general member briefing, I outlined the broad steps that we are planning to take, in order to buy some time to rebuild our club especially playing member numbers. I did say that I thought we should be able to vote on a resolution some time in April 2018.
In the meantime we have been trying to get work done to prepare some options so that members can have a look at conceptual plans and ask questions, provide feedback etc. That work is not yet complete, therefore preparing a resolution to vote on in April is not possible.
The process from here will be:
-
Once the work on options is complete, we will hold an information night to make sure that members understand what is proposed, it will not be a detailed plan of every hole, but it will provide a concept and allow us to determine the amount of land that we are able to sell to carry out our plans.
-
After the Information night we will draft a resolution for members to vote on which will be at least 21 days after the member information night.
I expect that the initial work to be available to us by the first week after Easter at which point the Board will review and then we will arrange a member briefing which will be prior to Anzac Day.
I hope this information makes sense to all members, if not feel free to contact me or another member of the Board during that period.
I wish all members a safe and happy Easter break and look forward to seeing you back at the club soon
Best regards,
Geoff Charnley
Club President
