For golf clubs like Rossdale that are always very busy, particularly on the main competition days, slow play can, and is, an issue. Ideally each player should be able to complete a normal round of golf in just over 4 hours, however at times this doesn’t happen for a large variety of reasons. Consequently, in early 2002, the club developed a program called "Keep Pace". An easy to read and understand leaflet was produced and distributed to all members and corporate day players. House AccountsIt is common practice for many private golf clubs to apply an annual House Charge because it ensures that every member contributes, in some way, towards the running of the trading departments. For quite a number of years Rossdale charged an annual house fee called 'Voucher Books'. This was in the form of two $50.00 booklets made up in $1.00 and $2.00 voucher coupons which were redeemable in the Bar and Catering departments. From July 2002 the Voucher Book system was replaced with a 'Point of Sale' system. Once the first instalment, or payment in full, is made, the Members House Account will be credited with the $200.00 amount. To make a purchase, simply use your Golflink swipe card. The $200.00 House Charge will be charged in July of each year, or when a new member joins. At any time a member can ‘top up’ the House Charge using cash, eftpos or credit card. Note: If any part of the $200.00 is not used within the current financial year (by the 30th June), then the unused amount will be written off! Personal Insurance PlanIn brief our personal insurance policy is as follows: Personal Liability (Anywhere in Australia in respect to playing golf): Limit of Indemnity $10,000,000 Personal Accident (Injury sustained at any golf club in Australia): Capital Benefits $100,000 Weekly Benefit $500 Excess is 14 days Sporting Equipment: (Loss or damage to golf equipment in Australia) Per member $3,500 Excess: Theft from open air/vehicle $250 Theft without evidence of forcible entry $250 All other claims $100 Emergency Transport: Per member $2,000 Excess is nil.
